I wanted to see where my money is heading.
I always knew what was in my accounts today. What I wanted was to see how my finances would hold up over the next few years, and how the things that happen in life would change that, for me and for my family.
The questions I kept coming back to were simple to ask:
- Can we afford an apartment, or a house?
- Can I afford to change the way I work?
- How does one decision change everything after it?
Answering them means seeing the whole picture at once: what comes in, what goes out, the investments, the loans and the credit. So I started building a place where I can put all of it together and try a decision before making it.
That is Cortado. It is early, and I am building it in the open. If you are asking yourself the same kind of questions, I would love for you to try it and tell me what is missing.
